The Dragon Warrior Radio Drama by XMark is a series of comedic audio plays which spoof the game Dragon Warrior for the NES. There are currently two episodes of the Drama available online, with a third which was held back indefinitely during writing.

Part One

The first part, 17 minutes and 22 seconds long, was created as a last-minute alternate entry for the Dragon Warrior month of Dwelling of Duels. It follows the quest of the unnamed hero (in this case, given the unfortunate name of "Dumbass") in his quest to defeat the Dragonlord and return the Ball of Light. The radio drama includes a few music cues, taken from an unfinished entry originally meant as a main entry for that month. That song was eventually redone from scratch and completed by XMark as the medley "The Battle for Alefgard".

Part Two

The second part, 31 minutes and 35 seconds long, was created as a direct sequel to the first part. Unlike the first radio drama, it featured an ensemble cast of many different people from the Shizz and VGMix. It follows the story of Dumbass's reluctant quest to save Princess Gwaelin from the Dragonlord's evil henchman Kyle. The princess gets kidnapped by a Green Dragon who happens to be Dragonlord's older brother. Dumbass rescues the princess and runs away from the furious Green Dragon, and the story culminates in a freestyle rap battle between Dumbass and the Dragonlord.

Part Three

Update on April 20: Part three is once again in development! I should have the script ready by the end of the week and get started on recording shortly after!
