Music
Paragon typically writes mid-tempo metal, but has also branched into doom metal, soft rock, disco-rock, solo piano, and chiptunes.
Influences include Opeth, My Dying Bride, In Flames, Slayer, disasterPEACE, and virt. Paragon sometimes rips bits and pieces directly from songs of his influences and mixed them into his DoD entries; for example, "Samus Saves" contained a snippet from Slayer's Raining Blood, and "Zippo Man Likes Zippo Music" contained a melody from one of virt's original disco songs.
Aside from Dwelling of Duels entries, Paragon has also competed in thecreeper's Original Music Competition a few times, as well as Geo's VGOST compo, for which he wrote the chiptune album "Battle With Achtbit". Je has a terrible habit of partially writing songs in Guitar Pro but never actually recording them (and often not even finishing the arrangement).

Controversy
Paragon has been noted for posting incorrect information within Bossies.org, such as saying that marui is Ashane's internet girlfriend. This has caused a firestorm of controversy, questioning the integrity of everything from his DoD entries to his Fruity Loops samples.
It has also been noted that being influenced by both horrible metal[citation needed] and incredible chiptunes is a functional impossibility. There is currently an Interpol investigation open on the matter, but it's been put on hold as they continue their 2007-2008 "Our Love to Admire" tour.
